Council of Ministers approves budget for the last three months of the solar year

KABUL, Jan. 12 – Council of Ministers approved budget for the last three months of the current solar year (Jedi, Dulu and Hot)
The total budget is Afs 53.9 billion, of which Afs 49.2 billion is operating budget and Afs 4.5 billion is development budget.

Ahmad Wali Haqmal, a spokesman for the Ministry of Finance, said that the purpose of approving the budget for the last three months of the current solar year is to turn the fiscal year into a solar year.

According to Haqmal, the move comes as Afghanistan is currently relying on its own domestic revenues without international aid.
