FARYAB, May. 08 – Four religious scholars, including the head of the Dar al-Uloom, Imam Abu Hanifa, died in Mazar-e-Sharif and two others were injured when a car overturned on the Andkhoy-Jawzjan highway.

 

Mufti Mohammad Ishaq, the founder of Imam Abu Hanifa Public Center in Mazar-e-Sharif, came with a number of his friends yesterday to a graduation ceremony in Maimana.

This evening, while returning their vehicle was overturned in Khawaja Qadoghak area on Faryab-Andkhoy road in which Mufti Ishaq and four others were martyred and two others were injured, (Surely to Allah we belong and to Him we return)

Mufti Muhammad Ishaq is a resident of Kunduz province who had a  religious school in Mazar-e-Sharif, where 140 scholars were graduating in the coming days.

 

Earlier in the day, they also attended a meeting held in Faryab to mark the arrival of the Minister of Defense and chief of the Armed Forces.
