HERAT, Oct. 08 – According to Ministry of Natural Disasters management officials, yesterday’s earthquake in Herat resulted in 2,053 fatalities and 9,240 injuries as well as entirely destroying 1,320 homes.
The ministry adds that Ten rescue teams have been dispatched to the scene of the tragedy, and the affected residents have received medication, food, and clothing.
Heartrending scenes from Herat where huge corporeal and financial losses have been caused, entire villages have been destroyed, they all need treatment and shelter. Winter is round the corner another disaster would occurred if the aid is late.
Non-governmental charitable institutions and every one should contribute is this hard time.
